CT Tech Qualifications
  • Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and CT. State licensure as required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in CT imaging or related field.
  • Familiarity with PACS and radiology information systems (RIS).
  • Strong technical skills in operating CT scanners and related equipment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Prepare patients for CT examinations, explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns. Ensure patient safety by adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • CT Imaging: Operate CT scanning equipment to produce high-quality images as per physician orders. Monitor and adjust scanning parameters to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure.
  • Technical Skills: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment. Keep accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and image quality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnosis and follow-up procedures. Assist in training and mentoring new staff and students in CT techniques and protocols.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as departmental policies. Stay updated on advancements in CT technology and imaging techniques.
