Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain electrophysiology equipment, ensuring all devices are functioning properly.
  • Assist physicians during electrophysiology procedures, including catheter ablation and implantable device insertions.
  • Monitor patient vitals and provide support during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Conduct pre-procedure assessments, including reviewing patient histories and performing necessary tests.
  • Document procedures, findings, and outcomes accurately in patient records.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about electrophysiology procedures and post-procedure care.
  • Educate team members and/or contracted account/facility
  • Travel required (Accommodations booked by division leader)
  • Stay current with advancements in electrophysiology technology and best practices

Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Registered Nurse considered if candidate meets all qualifications of role.
  • Certification as an Electrophysiology Technologist (CCT, RCES, or equivalent).
  • 2 years of experience in an electrophysiology lab or similar clinical setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and electrophysiological principles.
  • Experience scrubbing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • AHA BLS and ACLS Certified
