Responsibilities

  • The Nuclear Medicine Technologist applying for the position in the area would cover our client accounts in and around this area including the city of Norristown.
  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations and dynamic tests, such as radionuclide angiocardiography and coronary artery imaging studies
  • Prepare and administer radioactive agents by adhering to established procedures kit preparation as well as IV injection of agents to ensure accurate diagnostic testing/imaging
  • Set up equipment and appropriately position patient to ensure adherence to protocol, cooperation and optimal results
  • Maintain daily log of radionuclide doses administered to patients, as well as record of tests performed, diagnosis and any other pertinent information. Maintain all records required by State and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations
  • Calibrate and check all applicable equipment; maintain equipment by performing scheduled cleaning/tests and documents results; contact service personnel and notify supervision of malfunctioning equipment
  • Implement radiation safety guidelines and conduct proper radiation protection during the imaging process
  • Perform other related technologist duties as directed by the lead technologist, supervisor or manager, including those related to quality assurance and/or control
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate of approved Nuclear Medicine Program or current validated registry from ARRT in Radiology Technology (R). ARRT(R), (CT) preferred
  • 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine department required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • CNMT (ARRT or NMTCB)
